The EZ Down sits at the end of your conveyor, with an in-feed that adjusts from 11 to 13.5 feet high.
The front of the chamber and the bag is shown see-through, so you can watch the potatoes inside.
Potatoes roll down a padded chute and stop against the in-feed gate after a short run, so they never pick up speed. Once enough have built up, the gate lifts.
Each potato lands on the ones already inside. As the pile builds, the chamber steps down a few inches at a time and takes the whole load toward the bottom of the bag.
Once the chamber is close to the bottom of the bag, the doors underneath swing all the way open and the potatoes settle out onto the floor of the bag.
Then it moves back up a little at a time. Potatoes roll out the bottom while more keep coming in at the top.
When the bag hits its target weight or height, the in-feed gate closes and the chamber lifts out. Potatoes collect on the chute while you swap in an empty bag.
All from a machine that needs 48 by 65 inches of floor space. If you need more, the Big EZ handles up to 100,000 lbs per hour.

“We appreciate the flexibility the machines offer to switch between filling tote bags and storage crates at the flick of a switch. The machines offer a gentle solution for filling containers accurately and in a condensed area. We could not achieve the versatility of this production line in the square footage we had to work with. There’s nothing else like it!”

“We grow seed potatoes, mostly for the local market, and move them all through totes for ease of tracking, plus it enables us to grade when there’s no truck available to load. We purchased the first machine in 2017 and have been using it every season since. Usually about 5000-6000 cycles per year. We re-vamped our line for spring 2021 and bought the second machine... Lloyd and the gang are always there to help out with any technical support. I’m happy to say we put the new machine through almost 6000 cycles this year and never needed a single visit for warranty or service. Great machines, great service.”

“I am happy to say that we have had no issues with it whatsoever. We pride ourselves on selling high quality seed potatoes so preventing bruising during handling is of the upmost importance to us. The EZ Down system fills bags gently, cutting down on bruising while still operating at an efficient pace.”
